ECHN Lunch Side Session
Based on the success of the first edition in Perth, ECHN organized a lunch side session with the aim to provide early career delegates useful tips for their career development. The ECHN side session had more than 40 delegates attending the talk presented by Bruce Misstear (IAH Vice President – Finance and Membership) on “Being effectively succinct: Tips from the experts on presenting your research in 15 min or less”. Subsequent discussions were chaired by Gillian Hurding (ECHN-IAH Co-Director) and Karen G. Villholth (IAH Outreach Commission).
Best ECHN oral and poster presentations
During the closing ceremony Kelley Swana (Department of Earth Science, Stellenbosch University – South Africa) and Abdelaziz Khomsi (Laboratoire des Géosciences des Ressources Naturelles, Faculté des Sciences Université Ibn Toufail – Kénitra, Morocco) have been awarded as the winners of the Early Career Poster Prizes at IAH2014.
IAH Book Exchange
During IAH Congress in Morocco was held the first IAH’s book exchange, at IAH booth as a joint initiative between the IAH Secretariat and ECHN. We are really thankful to all the delegates that, bringing their hydrogeology-related books, made the book exchange possible and we really hope to replicate this initiative also in the future IAH congresses.
